I have been playing with some new features for blogs and one of these includes the support for video comments. If you view the comments for this post you can see that I am trying this via seesmic.
UPDATE: In case you haven’t figured it out, this blog has become my sandbox for trying new things. So, with that said, this is an evolving post and I will update it as I discover things about this new plugin, unless I abandon it altogether.
This commenting plugin is called DISQUS and runs off of their service, which is used to keep track of conversations happening around the web. I will continue to post info as I discover it.
UPDATE: Okay, it looks like Seesmic upgraded their service to work with Flash player 10 :) The video commenting system looks pretty cool and I feel is easy to use. If you have a video camera leave me a video comment!
IE blows and designing for it and its multiple versions is worse. Depending on how a page is structured, it can look different in each version of IE. I recently found 2 great tools for seeing what my designs look like each version. MultipleIE is a great little program that runs multiple versions of IE, from 3 to 6. This program looks like it hasn’t been updated in a while, but its working great for me so far. Thanks to Aaron King for this one.
If, however, you are running Vista or like me, mostly work on a Mac; you can use IE netrenderer. IE netrenderer will show a snapshot of how a page will look in IE 5.5, 6, 7 and 8. Thanks to Jeff Moore, sharing this one.
Last month I completed Carter County Banks new website. The site uses valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional code and has been designed with the idea that they may want to add a mobile device style sheet at a later date.
Really cool way of seeing a family grow over time. This family took photos of themselves every year and placed them on their website. Checkout the arrow of time here.
